Wasn't it because of the City-sponsored movie night downtown that night for youths 13 - 18?

"The Summer Night Lights (SNL) program for youth, ages 13-18, continues this week with Movie Night on Saturday, June 29 from 7-11 pm at Festival Park, 200 N. Davie St., in Downtown Greensboro. Admission is free of charge!"

Don't worry though:

"Perkins said the city has its best talent working on a resolution to the downtown problem."

Yes, the best talent—who will no doubt regrettably recommend a curfew.
