Jamal, 25, is an adjunct professor and registered as a Democrat. His three top issues are community, economic development and public safety. In answer to what he would do, specifically, to increase transparency in city government, he says, "I will strengthen the communication between the city and community i.e. town halls."
This is Jamal's first run for council.
