City of Guilford, County of Greensboro. More WGHP confusion.

GREENSBORO, NC -- What does it say about a local news organization when their reporters cannot distinguish between Guilford County government and Greensboro City government? I mean, it's not academic, it's basic. And if the audience is thinking, "Wow, some of your reporters are really ignorant," WGHP MyFox8 might ask itself what, exactly, is its value proposition?

To a long list of errors in WGHP's reporting (including the laughable identification of Greensboro city council representative Robbie Perkins as "city council chairman" -- of which there is no such thing), add today's report that:

City Denies EMS Funding for Skating Championships

No, they did not. The City of Greensboro does not operate local EMS, the event organizers did not make the request of the City and the City does not have a board of commissioners, all as were erroneously reported in this error-riddled story.

The event organizers did make a request of the Guilford County Commissioners. WGHP, if you are going to cover local government, can you assign reporters to the beat who have a clue?
