"A Single Man." Three thumbs up.

I watched "A Single Man" last night. It was an excellent movie with superb acting, especially the honest and subtle performance of Oscar-nominated lead Colin Firth. The film explores the brutal ultimate realities of life and death, both the heartbreaking and the beautiful. Meaning of life movies can be preachy or heavy handed,  but "A Single Man" finds the poignant truths of human existence with a masterful quiet confidence achieved through genuine and wondrous dialogue, sincere character portrayals and stunning cinematography. I recommend it.
