News & Record article does not plagiarize

Here is how a newsorg posts a story where most of the reporting is coming from other outlets (I'm talking to you, Rush Radio).

  1. It does not steal copy from other sources.
  2. It acknowledges the contributions of other sources in the byline; it does not claim others' reporting as its own.
  3. It reports as facts only those things it has previously reported and it attributes claims it has not independently substantiated to their source.
  4. It lists and links to the sources it uses.
  5. It puts the lotion in the basket. Sorry, wrong topic.
