Triad News Wire: Spammers

I received an email today from Triad News Wire--a summary of recent public relations announcements from area businesses. The email informed me that I was "receiving this email as a subscriber to our website." Bullshit.

I am quite certain that I had never previously visited this website much less subscribed to their email list. An introductory email that invited me to subscribe would be one thing; it's an insulting pain in the ass to have been subscribed without my knowledge or consent while pretending that I had. It's a poor reflection on Triad News Wire and the companies they represent that the first impression they are creating is one of dishonest annoyance.
