Mark Binker takes note of a new ad in support of Elizabeth Dole that begins with "They call her 'fibber Kay' Hagan," referring to Dole's senatorial opponent Kay Hagan.
Who calls Hagan "fibber Kay?" You know, "They" -- meaning the people that wrote the ad. Elizabeth Dole must think that North Carolinians are a bunch of dumb saps who can be played if she thinks we'll fall for this.
More evidence that Dole thinks we are stupid hicks: The same ad states that Elizabeth Dole "has been consistently voted one of the ten most admired women in the world" and cites as its source, "Gallop Poll."
The last time Dole appeared on this list was 2006. Dole fell off last year's list of most admired women.
Fudging the facts, making stuff up--in this instance it is coming from the Dole camp, but whenever somebody tries to put one over on us in this manner, it's a huge insult to the people of North Carolina and candidates are dumber than they think we are if they don't expect us to notice.
