Ryan Shell: Naive?

Ryan Shell announced his intention to run for Greensboro city council two weeks ago. Today, he announced that he will run in District 2. Minority majority district 2 has only had a black representative as long as I can remember. Is Shell, who is white, naive? When the first local blog comment from respected, long-time black community activist Nettie Coad appears on his campaign blog, one has to think maybe not.
