They got caught in what has become a standard practice of low professional standards at WFMY by someone they could not ignore this time and instead of owning up to it, lied. Doubt me? Take a look at the multiple other instances of WFMY's plagiarism that they neither acknowledged or corrected. Were these all "accidental" too?

Nitpicking I guess but this crosses the line from plagiarism to copyright infringement.

copyright infringement comes into play when profits are involved.
And being that WFMY is a commercial broadcaster and not say, a non commercial blogger, everything they do involves profits.
Apparently, WFMY had the right to use the content as syndicated. They did not have the right to put someone else's name on it as the author.
