The N&R reported that the Romney/Ryan campaign on Sunday

"[D]rew an estimated crowd of 10,000 to 15,000 people in High Point, with only a limited number getting into the venue to hear the speeches."

They did not cite a source. The High Point Enterprise and Yes! Weekly reported crowds between 2,700 and 3,300 and cited the High Point fire marshal.

So where did the News & Record's numbers come from? I asked. The answer? "Campaign sources."
