My day job includes web site design for Congressman Howard Coble. As such, I've had the opportunity to spend a little time with him when he's in the district. No matter where you may come down on the politics, one thing is unavoidable: The man is greatly loved and admired.
15 or so years ago I saw Coble driving on Wendover ave. He wasn't in a Mercedes, Lexus or other fancy car. It was a Ford Contour.
ReplyDeleteHow many politicians have egos that would fit in a Ford Contour?
But, Hugh, if you've observed Howard's driving, as I have, then OF COURSE you want him in Washington. He's a menace on the streets here!
ReplyDeleteHoward is a fellow member of American Legion post 53; and I remember seeing him often over the past years. Now; as most every year, he attends the Memorial Day Services held by post 53 in the Veteran's section of Forest Lawn Cemetery.
ReplyDeleteHe is a true servant to the people of his district, and a veteran's veteran.
