Today, I received the email below. I cannot find the clarification to which it refers on WFMY's web site. The original video that started it all appears to have been removed too, although you can see a screen shot here.

Frank Mickens made the retraction last night on the 11pm newscast. I guess they have issue about posting the clip of the retraction online. Not suprising.

ReplyDeleteWhy the City of Greensboro will not reveal information on the "black book" is puzzling unless they are trying to avoid liability. It is common knowledge in the Police Department that a photo arrangement containing photos of all the black males and another book with the lesbian females were shown not only to people arrested by the Vice/Narcotics Division and the Secret Police Division (SID). Two members of SID took both books to a federal prison in West Virginia and showed them to a convicted drug offender with a promise of a reduced sentence if she could implicate someome in the GPD for criminal offenses. The SID also took photos of black command officers at national night out events. The then chief of police(Wray) knew and approved of this activities. Ask the secretary in IA if she provided the pictures?

It is your choice if you wish to live under a cloud of delusion but don't be surprised if others shrug and reject unsubstantiated myths.
