News & Record clear as mud

GREENSBORO, NC -- The News & Record reported today about the proposed downtown "Union Square Campus":
"Organizers plan to build a $40 million health care building in the first phase of the project. UNCG, N.C. A&T and GTCC will move nursing programs to this new location."
I don't know about you but that sounds all encompassing, as if the nursing programs would be moving. Not "some" programs, not "a program," but a mass relocation of the nursing programs -- that's the way I read it. You?

The dean of UNCG's School of Nursing,  Robin Remsburg, confirms to this blogger, "Most of the nursing programs in the UNCG School of Nursing are currently and will continue to be delivered on the UNCG campus."

Remsberg did say UNCG plans to lease space in the proposed downtown facility for its new Doctor of Nursing program.

The News & Record certainly could have made that more clear, but they've been known to let boosterism cloud their reporting before.

  1. "The News & Record certainly could have made that more clear, but they've been known to let boosterism cloud their reporting before."

It is their standard Modus operandi.
