ACLU asks Greensboro police for SWAT/technology info

GREENSBORO, NC -- The American Civil Liberties Union of North Carolina has requested records from the Greensboro Police Department "regarding Special Weapons and Tactics ("SWAT") teams, as well as your acquisition and use of cutting-edge technology."

Quite. And I'm sure the city understands that if it screws around on this, the ACLU WILL sue them.

Also, it comes from the attorney who helped beat back the attempted White Street Landfill re-opening a few years ago.

I will await to see if Greensboro releases the intel or claims it can't for public safety reasons.
