The vanishing "only"
Mark this one as an encouraging small thing done right. A story in the (Greensboro, NC) News & Record on the conviction of a man for cruelty to animals originally reported that the man was sentenced to "only" six to eight months. The "only" has be removed, hopefully with a little note to the reporter about why.

What I thought was more interesting than the "only" (being the max penalty available) was that a man convicted of murdering a human being made "only" page 5.
