It's bad enough that, even though every other school system, day care and cub scout troop can announce their inclement weather delays in time for the 10:00 news, Guilford County Schools seems to imagine that road conditions might somehow defy the laws of physics and meteorology during a night of temperatures in the teens. Whatever.
But when they finally decide, do they have to irritate us with multiple pre-dawn phone calls? We received three automated recorded calls between 5:40 AM and 6:30 AM to let us know of the two hour delay we already knew about because, not knowing the night before, we had to set the alarm for our regular time, got up and turned on the TV. Very annoying.
